We are currently seeking a qualified and passionate Director of Nursing (Registered Nurse) to join our home care team. The director of nursing registered nurse supervisor reports to the administrator and is responsible for supervising skilled and non-skilled services. They ensure quality service provision and appropriate supervision.

The director of nursing registered nurse supervisor is responsible for working with other disciplines to ensure client needs are met, which includes, but is not limited to, the assessment process, the creation and maintenance of the plan of care, the coordination of services, and the supervisory process.

Role Description
As the Director of Nursing (Registered Nurse), you will:
  • Oversee and manage nursing services to ensure compliance with state regulations, CDC, and OSHA guidelines.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans for patients.
  • Coordinate client care services, including case assignments and management.
  • Serve as a backup to the Chief Administrator for key administrative functions.
  • Maintain records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Ensure all staff adhere to professional standards and provide high-quality home care services.
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures for client care, infection control, and safety.
  • Conduct and participate in quality assurance programs to improve services and outcomes.
  • Provide orientation and continuing education opportunities for staff.
 
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia (active and in good standing).
  • Possess a bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Must have graduated from a state-approved or accredited program.
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience as an RN in a licensed home health agency or similar setting.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations governing home health care.
  • Experience with patient care, medication administration, and care plan development.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Familiarity with healthcare technology or digital health platforms is a plus.
  • Availability during business hours or ability to designate a qualified RN in your absence.
 
Position Details
  • Job Type: Part-Time (initial short-term contract with the possibility of long-term extension).
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid (primarily remote with occasional on-site responsibilities in Northern Virginia).
  • Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
